New Features at Google Docs & Spreadsheets

I am a big fan of Google Docs & Spreadsheets. I'm Working with this service on a daily basis so of course every new feature is very important to me. If you haven't start working with that great application yet, I really suggest you warmly to do so. It will change your Internet life style.

3 main features released this week :
  1. Charts - Now it's easy to show data in simple graphics to friends or co-workers with charts. Select from various styles to meet your visualization needs. You can also embed a chart in your blog or site.
  2. Range names - you can define a name for a range of cells, and use this name in formulas to refer to cells, for example write =sum(expenses) instead of =sum(c12:e17). This helps make calculation logic clearer to write and understand. Check it out under the "Formulas" tab.
  3. Comments - You can leave comments on any spreadsheet cell for all to see.

If you want to stay updated with what's new at Google Docs & Spreadsheets, be sure to subscribe to their official blog.

If you need more advanced charts (outside the Google spreadsheet as images), you can also use the free online charting service:

www.chartAll.com

Charts can be created from manually typed data, Google spreadsheets, data linked from url, etc.

Includes basic charts, XY charts, XYZ 3D charts, Gauges, Geographical (mapping / GIS) charts, financial OHLC, and much more.
