Symbaloo if for people that looking for a simple way to search the internet. Users can easily find information about: traveling, phone numbers, translations, flight tickets, recopies, traffic, music, TV, medical, movies, weather, and many other useful things that users look for on their daily internet session. Now it is accessible within a single click.
Also, users can add their own content links to Symbaloo, such as: blog feeds, news pages, media services, etc. The service support drag & drop functionality so it is very easy to shape the page in the bast & convenient way for you to use it. If you want to delete a block, just drag it to the middle of the page. You can also exchange blocks by dragging one block on another.
Frankly, Symbaloo can easily used as your next start-page.

Symbaloo looks very much like Sputtr, and I think these two services can give a good solution if you want to minimize the amount of search results you usually get from your regular search engine, and focused only on what you really need.

What is less nice is that they offer you a limited set of options (most paying customers probably) for a specific search. For example, for flights, you'll have cheapflights.com only. Although it's a nice idea to aggregate search engines for different contents in one place, it feels like symbaloo decides on your behalf where you'll find your results (as well as your default option).
I guess it's a matter of time before more alternatives get mixed in...
But do not forget that you can easily delete what symbaloo offers you in the first place and customize the search in the way that you want it to be like. You just need add the services that you want to use.(which is very easy as well)
As taken for the site's FAQ:
"Q. Who decides the ranking of the sources within each searchblock?
A. Firstly the staff of symbaloo does. Although the latest source you've used will stay on top! So it's you who decide.. Do you miss a certain internet source? Let us know here."
So I don't see how you can add sources without asking them first...
