Flickr clone(?) with some Stronger Features!

Ipernity is like the new improved Flickr!
Beside the fact that you can do all the activities like at Flickr: uploading photos, add to favorites, add notes, view all sizes, embed photos to your blog/site, make comments, add tags, etc,.. you can also add videos, music files and make your music play-list in just a few clicks. Moreover, you can do some blogging in Ipernity as well.

What can I say.. this platform rock! For my opinion it's based on Flickr idea but on the other hand it have it's own original style because of the video (that flickr miss), music and blogging additions. So what you get in the and is your own place with everything that you've added in a very organized page and you are enable to share it with anyone you want via URL that you get from Ipernity.

With Ipernity you can:
  • Publish whatever you like : blog, photos, videos, audios
  • Customize your own Ipernity page (like at Myspace)
  • Share what you want with people who matter to you or with the whole world
  • Create a powerful page with only the stuff that matters to you.

Ipernity have multiple languages.

Beon Widget for Twitter

If you're a Twitter fan (yeah, I bet you are), you should try the new widget from beon-Twitterbox. Twitterbox allows you to use the Twitter services directly from your computer desktop.

Beon is a project to create a "method" for developing widgets on a quick and simple way. The widgets are independent, you do not need to download a platform like in "Yahoo Engine".

You can read all about beon in my earlier review.

3 main features released this week :
  1. Charts - Now it's easy to show data in simple graphics to friends or co-workers with charts. Select from various styles to meet your visualization needs. You can also embed a chart in your blog or site.
  2. Range names - you can define a name for a range of cells, and use this name in formulas to refer to cells, for example write =sum(expenses) instead of =sum(c12:e17). This helps make calculation logic clearer to write and understand. Check it out under the "Formulas" tab.

Wiredness - Online Photo Editor that ROCK!

I really love services like Wiredness that makes it so easy to use online without even the registration hassle. Wiredness is an image manipulation application. Upload a photo or grab from any URL, to resize, change exposure, fix red-eye, rotate, colorize, change brightness and contrast, and much more.

Wiredness also allow the integration with your flickr photos

The Wiredness system includes a simple API which allows other web applications to pass through the information for an image. This will allow the user to modify that image using the Wiredness system and then save that image back to the calling web application. They can also chose to cancel the modification at any time and it will return them to your site with the original unmodified image.

Hosting images on the web was never that easy!

As I've said, I love services like Wiredness! I find it very impressive and easy to use. It is just a good web based tool that anyone can use.

Click here if you want to give this service a try.

Easy to Make Professional Online Portfolios, Presentations and Photo Albums

Slidez is a web based service that allows you to EASILY create photo albums, presentations and your own portfolio. Believe me, it will take you less time than you think.

After a quick sign-up you'll be able to open new projects and upload multiple files from your PC. This is actually what makes the difference because it's save you so much time that you would have wasted if you had to upload one picture each time.

After the upload you can choose/change the style of the presentation and add some description to it. All in a very easy-to-use interface built with Flash & Ajax.

The result is a great looking flash based presentation that you can share with everyone via email or link. You can also embed the code to your site or blog template.

Double click an image thumbnail to edit details.

Here's an example that took me 5 min to create.

Go2web20 Widget

If you want one of these for your own webpage or blog, here's what you need to do:

First copy & paste this code:
<embed src="http://www.go2web20.net/widget.swf?maxItems=3&delay=5" width="200" height="200" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed>

Then, there are some things that you can change in the code to customize your desirable widget:
  • Change the number of the services that will shown on your widget - for that just replace the number 3 with any number from 1 to 15.
  • Choose the time you want for the delay between one service to another. It is now set to be, 5 seconds delay.
  • Feel free to play with the width and height sizes until it fits to your blog or site.

    Here are some examples:

Google - Full Power

lately it looks like Google launching new services and releasing more features almost every day!
Even this morning, I saw this new note while I was browsing for pictures:

It placed down on Google Images Search page.

The fact that Google ask their users to help and improve Google image search by tagging/labeling the pictures (again), pointing maybe to their next project that will allow the users to search images by tags/labels?! Well, you can never know with Google, all is done with a perfect secrecy.. but I do hope we'll see some of these results soon.

Yesterday Google launches new product called Goog-411. This service allows you to make local-business search accessible over the phone. To try this service, just dial 1-800-GOOG-411 (1-800-466-4411) from any phone. Read more about it at Mike's blog.

Earlier this week Google releases new feature in their Google Map service called My Maps. It allows you to make Google maps to your maps which mean you can personalize your map by marks your favorite places on it, draw lines and shapes to highlight paths and areas and even add your own text, photos, and videos. Of course later on you can publish your map on the web and share it with the rest of the world.

More new features coming from their Gtalk

First - Google Talk Gadget :
You can now add Google Talk to your Google Personalized Homepage. The Google Talk Gadget lets you see your contacts and chat with friends right on your homepage, and it doesn't require a download. You can even add the Google Talk Gadget to your own webpage or blog by pasting a single line of code into your site.

This one just launched - Popout support and Flickr slideshows :
Google added some new media capability to the Google Talk Gadget. In addition to viewing YouTube videos and Picasa Web Albums, you can now also watch Flickr slideshows in your chats.

Last thing is this cool little button:

You can easily add it to your own webpage or blog. (grab the code in here)
