Simple Way to Search the Internet

Symbaloo if for people that looking for a simple way to search the internet. Users can easily find information about: traveling, phone numbers, translations, flight tickets, recopies, traffic, music, TV, medical, movies, weather, and many other useful things that users look for on their daily internet session. Now it is accessible within a single click.

Also, users can add their own content links to Symbaloo, such as: blog feeds, news pages, media services, etc. The service support drag & drop functionality so it is very easy to shape the page in the bast & convenient way for you to use it. If you want to delete a block, just drag it to the middle of the page. You can also exchange blocks by dragging one block on another.

Frankly, Symbaloo can easily used as your next start-page.

Symbaloo looks very much like Sputtr, and I think these two services can give a good solution if you want to minimize the amount of search results you usually get from your regular search engine, and focused only on what you really need.

VUVOX Application for Facebook

I really like VUVOX! For me this is the best way to make slideshows.
Now they added their application to Facebook (click here to get there), which allow the users to create presentation - the easiest way. You can create your own piece from your Facebook albums, Flickr, PicasaWeb or any RSS feeds.

To make this photo slide below, I just added Go2web20 RSS feed into VUVOX photo slide maker at Facebook and picked a style.

My previous post about VUVOX is in here. You can see example of some presentations in my Facebook profile.

Create Your Own Streaming Internet TV Channel

Panjea TV allows anyone to create, organize and customized channels of video content from video services across the Web with a few clicks of the mouse. You can have content from YouTube, GoogleVideo, Metacafe, Grouper and more. Users can instantly share their channel with friends or place it on their own site, blog, Myspace, Facebook, etc.

The key success factor for Panjea is an advertising model that allows artists and content creators to generate a stream of fresh content for their built in audiences, increasing sponsorship revenue while maintaining complete control over their image.

The result is amazing. It took me 2 minutes to choose my desirable video content and even less time to create this lovely channel below:

*The service not support Mozilla based browser (FireFox, Netscape, etc).

Stay in Touch with your Contacts

Hictu allows users to provide and receive availability information about their contacts.
It is a tool which help you to get in touch with your co-workers, friends, customers, etc, by seeing their status in several different IM and VoIP communities (such as MSN, Yahoo!, AIM, ICQ, Jabber, Skype, Gizmo, and many others).

As a first step, you can automatically import all your existing contacts from Outlook, and Mozilla Thunderbird. Then you can choose which contact or group of contacts you want to insert in the contact list: each of them will receive an email describing the service and asking to grant authorization for being listed in your contact list and show their communication availability.

You can also post or record short messages in real time and share it with the rest of Hictu community. The latest posts to be shown on their front page.
I can't ignore the fact that it remind
me Twitter simplicity and even some of it look & feel, but actually, I like it. It is just so simple to use.

Best Slideshows Creator I've ever Tried

VUVOX is an online service that can enable you create personal, collaborative & emotive slideshows using your own digital media – including video, photos, music and text.

There are still some features in progress so I couldn't add audio files and text, but even without it, you can still get some amazing, quality results in just few clicks.

First choose pictures/videos from your (or others) Flickr, Google, Photobucket or YouTube

Drag & Drop to the right bar, images or videos you want to mix-up together

Personalize and customize your creation by choosing your presentation style, adjust the colors, add background picture, and many, many more!

Get a code to embed in your site/blog, share it via email or on the Web. (your VOVOX channel)

VOVOX is one of the great Web-based applications I've ever tested. It is an amazing flash based tool with sexy layout and a very fast and easy navigation.

Single Sign-In to all of Yahoo! Services

Jumpcut announced today that they are also switching to Yahoo! IDs in early June.
Looks like Yahoo! trying to achieve that their users will have only single sign-in to all of their services. We've seen this done already with Flickr and Upcoming (applications that Yahoo acquired) and I'm sure we're going to see this tendentiousness within Del.icio.us and MyBlogLog(?) soon.

I wonder when are we going to see some integration with Yahoo! email and Flickr or with Yahoo! calendar and their Upcoming event service. Now with these changes, it seems more easy to execute that.

Explore & Share Music with your Friends

Ezmo is a Web based music player that makes it easy for a group of friends to share music.
The music player is online rather than on your computer. (Built with Adobe Flex technology to allow a better and unique user experience)
The music is played directly from the web site. It means that once you use Ezmo, you have your and your friends music available wherever you find a computer with an internet connection.

First thing that you'll need to do is to upload music to Ezmo. The easiest way to do this is to download their "Music uploader". If you wish to only upload a couple of songs, use the "Manual Upload" button in the top bar. After the uploading you can enjoy your music and share it with 10 of your friends. You're doing this simply by sending them invitations and when an invitation has been accepted your friends will appear in your music column. Then you can listen to what your friends uploaded and they can listen to yours. Ezmo also allows you to create playlists from your own songs.

Ezmo music uploader

Although the concept is good, the player looks great, and when it worked, the streaming was not bad, still it was hard for me to test this because it was just too slow to use.
But hey, this new service is online for less then 24 hours so I'll give them the chance to prove I'm wrong :-)

Invite your friends

Listen to your friends music

Sketch your Dream House

Floorplanner take the best of Web 2.0 and bring it to home design.
It is a wonderful application with professional tools and rich visual interface that allow users to sketch their own dream home and share their designs easily. Users are able to embed their designs on any site or blog.

Lately I've been seeing more and more Web based applications that launching services that in the past we used to download big and heavy software's to be able to create the same things that those Web services allowing us now.
Web based applications might be limited with features than desktop clients but they'll still enable you to be creative and have good results within your work online.

Floorplanner has more than 300 furniture and decorative objects can be placed, moved, stretched, shrunk, or even re-colored. High-quality graphics give each item a detailed look and feel, unlike the more abstract representations of other architecture software. Floorplanner is very easy to use and you don't even need to know anything about architecture to design a room.
Soon Floorplanner will be for more than planning the design of a room or house, it will also help users buy the items they've placed in their design.

You can try Floorplanner for free (one plan project) or check their pricing for more:

Create Personal Libraries from your Favorite Services on the Web

A great new service called Second Brain allows you to create private or public libraries and collections from your favorite services on the Web such as: Flickr, Del.icio.us, Youtube, Picasa web, GoogleDocs, Blue dot and Zoho. Also, you can upload your documents and files to your library and share them as well. (you'll get 1 GB of free storage to start with)

People that use Second Brain can collect content, share knowledge, and make social connections based on their interests.
This service can:
  • help people keep track of and manage everything they consume and create online
  • become a powerful knowledge archive for the individual
  • save users time with faster retrieving and reusing of knowledge they have previously created or collected
  • create meaningful relations between people who are interested in the same topics
  • make it easy to distribute and publish collections of content by e-mail or embedded in other web-pages
This application can really help you to organize your Del.icio.us bookmarks (for example). It enables you to create collections from the tags you'll choose (your del.icio.us tags) and through that to find your content very fast.

Moreover, after I imported all my Del.icio.us bookmarks to Second Brain, they organized it so well on their page, it was actually more easy for me to browser my own content there than from Del.icio.us itself.

Be sure to explore through other user collections and get inspired by their creativities.

Graphic Design Resources:

You can easily organize all your blog posts.
