What's Going On In The World

IBCTODAY will give you a better perspective with what's going on on the glob today.
The site is an online broadcast news network that uses its proprietary technology to repackage video news aggregated from global news agencies, broadcasters and users. IBCTODAY adding between 70-90 (over 1.5 hours) global news video clips a day! The site is also produces English subtitles, on most of the videos rather than voice-over to ensure integrity of the original content.

Watch interactive, on-demand content or upload news to the site yourself. While watching a video you can also read it text story or get some other relevant videos/stories - next to the video you're watching.

I've seen lots of video services but I must say, I like this one. It's very easy to understand and navigate through the content, and basically get a good and quick view on things that going on around us.

New Way to Discover Stuff on the Web

Fichey is a little player that float on top of the page and lets you navigate and discover new sites and links from the Web. Display search results from : Del.icio.us, Digg, Downfly, Reddit and StumbleUpon.

This small, yet powerful tool, allows you to stay updated with the latest hot news on the Web. Definitely one of the coolest things I've saw lately.

Perform Powerful Searches Visually with SearchCrystal

searchCrystal enables you to perform powerful searches visually. Their wonderful platform makes it possible to explore and filter 50 - 500 web pages, images, videos, blogs in a single display that guides people toward relevant info in a structured way. The most relevant information is placed close to the display center.

You can search through Web, Images,Video, News, Blogs or Tags or you can MashUp all the options to one, for a better view of the results:

Also, you can embed the image, video or web search results of your favorite topics into your blog or web page and people can also conduct their own searches directly from your page.

Display your convenient way to watch the results :

The map results that you get is quite fascinating! I found lots of relevant links that I didn't knew about before. It is a great searching tool that will let you see the big picture of your webpage.

Facebook what the hell..?

I just found out that I can't confirm friends anymore without to inform the whole world where I know them from. I never liked this stage that you need to confirm everyone, but with the SKIP option, I didn't really care to go over it. Now, it is just annoying.

Facebook Flyers – A Self Service Advertising Solution

A Great new service from Facebook : Facebook Flyers.
The service allows you to create relevant advertisements for universities or regional locations.

Facebook Flyers start at $5 to display your Flyer 2,500 times. The cost will change as you increase the run times.

I really like the idea, I think it is the easiest and smartest way today to promote your site/blog/company or whatever it is you want people to discover.
For example

Create your own flyer in here.

I'm Addicted to Pownce But..

The good about Pownce:
  • Very easy to use (yeah I know, twitter too)
  • Users can send links and files (10 MB max/100 MB pro users)
  • Easily send events invitations
  • Better view of your community
  • Killer design!
  • Lovely Facebook application
  • Works with Netvibes and iGoogle (get module here)
  • You can use Pownce from your desktop (AdobeAir desktop software)
  • You can find all your Digg friends there.. which is kinda cool
The bad:
  • Not enough invitations (per user)
  • No widget for your blog/webpage
  • There is no option to link from a comment
  • Private and Public messages are in the same color (that's confusing)
  • No alert on your page when someone sending you a private massage (I totally missed some of them because of that)
  • No mobile integration
The Ugly:

pownce bug

Wishood Can Make Wishes Come True

There are services that I like to pay more attention to, since I know they are more then just Web applications. Wishood is one of them.
I wrote about this company back in January but now they re-launched and there is a nice story behind it that's worth a post.

Wishood is a place where people can share and grant each other's wishes. Publicize all your heart's desires with friends, family, the world. Once a wish has been made, people can offer to grant it for you.

Wishood run the new version on a small scale for only a few weeks but the good vibes are already felt. Check out this unique wish:
“I wish I could drive a train. I'd love to ride for fun but I also long to be a real train engineer. I want to show my son that I can be somebody...that wishes really can come true.”
After reading comments and offers to grant this wish, I can honestly say - I'm touched. I do hope to see this wish granted soon. Check it out here.

A member's profile at Wishood is based on one's wishes and granting activities. Referring to wishes of others draws more attention to and appreciations of your very own wishes – by granting others you can make your own wishes come true.

Wishood hopes to make this platform useful for people all over the world as well as for organizations and sponsors who would choose to join the wishing and granting community.

Please Digg

FoxyTunes New Major Addition - Signatunes

FoxyTunes lets you control almost any media player and find lyrics, covers, videos, bios and much more with a click right from your browser. Tomorrow they are releasing a new FoxyTunes version with major new addition called "Signatunes". It allows you to sign your email messages, blog posts and so on with your currently playing music.

Signatunes currently supports:
Facebook, Myspace, Wordpress, AOL Mail, Gmail (weee), Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail, Horde Webmail and SquirrelMail.

If you use one of the services mentioned above, you'll find the FoxyTunes icon in the corner of the note or email you're about to send. Click on it to add a special signature with the song you are listening to right now - for your friends to see.

Also, FoxyTunes has an awesome extension (Firefox only) that allows you to twitter right from your browser. It's called TwittyTunes and it lets you post your currently playing songs to Twitter with a click.

Moreover, inside TwittyTunes there is a great feature called the Twitter DJ which is a twitter channel with music recommendations from a selected group of "FoxyTunes DJs" and the rest of Twitter community. Check it out here.

Your Twitter post will link to Depeche Mode FoxyTunes Planet page:
