Blogger + Picasaweb = Inefficient
I've only recently discovered that Blogger automatically stores all my blog images into my Picasaweb account. They didn't informed me about this action, but accidentally I found about it myself. Don't get me wrong, I think it's great, obviously Google saving me valuable storage space, but here's what I don't get: All my images stores on Picasaweb yet I can't use these images again since there's no integration between the two services. Worse, instead of giving me this option, Google sending me to Flickr on their learn more about using web images explanation. I love Flickr but why do I need to upload photos that are already on my Picasaweb?!Trying to search for more helpful info as I'm writing, I just realized I need to pay more attention to the little words:

Bottom-line: I really don't mind paying Google for more storage if I'll need to, but they seriously needs to do something about this Blogger-Picasaweb integration, it's just not useful as it is now.

I certainly mind paying for extra storage. If Flickr/Yahoo can do unlimited storage for free (at 100mb/month), Google certainly should be able to afford to give us more storage. I like the Flickr model a lot better.
This has been a common complain i have with Google way to manage the properties they buy that cannot or were not intended to be integrated into Google Labs.
You can always check out how for some reason Picasa and Blogger are always the most disconnected services Google has.
But you already know that, just look at what happened to Dodgeball and how jaiku has not been put to use for nothing along other examples.
Another note would be that it took up to now for Blogger to get Scheduled Posting and a Dynamic Blogroll. features that should have been added at the last Blogger version (v3.0) launch back at the fall of 2006...
My wish is a simple "photos" tab at the dashboard with a list of what has been upload, a thumbnail and a direct link. the same for videos uploaded to Blogger.
I actually think that the most disconnected Google applications are Gmail and Picasaweb. But hey, even Yahoo didn't learn how to integrate Flickr pictures on their mail service :-/
