Spaz - An open-source Twitter client for AIR

Spaz - A new open-source Twitter client, available on all AIR-compatible platforms: Windows, OS X, and Linux.

Overall, works pretty good, nice interface (4 themes to choose from), users can view updates from friends, direct messages, replies, and the public timeline. Also, auto-refreshing, sound, directory listings of users you're following - and your followers, and more.

For more information go2 Spaz's Google code page.

Can you compare it to Twhirl/Alert Thingy?

Twhirl and AlertThingy are better in terms of features and layout. The difference is the open-source software.

Wonderful! Thanks for the link. I'd prefer this open source solution over others, even though it's a bit weaker than them.

Thanks for the post! I am actively seeking folks to help with development and theme design, so the publicity helps! A couple things:

- Spaz actually has been around about a year. It was developed originally under AIR beta 1, and won an award in the Adobe AIR developer derby last summer.

- New SVN builds have some (I think) pretty cool features in them. Check out the Spaz-Users group for info on those.

You can msg me @spaz if you have any questions. Thanks again!
