The Easiest way to Create a Screencast

Meet ScreenToaster.
It won't provide you with lots of features, nor give you any special effects...
It will though, help you create a great looking DEMO for your company in few seconds. Still in private Beta, the free online screen recorder, allows you to record your video and easily publish it on the web. Simple as that.

No download required.

I noticed there was no sound - is that because you were shy, or it doesn't support it? :)

p.s. having to put in a second captchya after previewing the comment is a pain - you should consider removing that.

No sound. This is what I've said, no special effects what so ever, but than again, a very easy to create screencast tool.

Have you seen the Jing Project from Techsmith? This is free with 2 gigs of free space on Screencast.com which makes it really easy to use and it has voice.

Yes, I've seen it: http://blog.go2web20.net/2008/07/how-to-create-beautiful-demo-for-your.html

Jing is a great product. However, ScreenToaster is even easier to make and you get the embed code right away.

Hi,
Does anyone know of a solution to record video from webcam (not screen) which streams right to the server ? like YouTube's "quickCapture" utility ?
Thanks a lot...

Skoffer.com provides such a service free for everyone without the need to register anywhere. The screencasts can have an unlimited resolution and length a don´t get downscaled. Skoffer provides a simple API to build own application with it. Get the plugin for your desired website software and 30 seconds later you are able to record and insert screencasts (including sound and directly out of your website´s backend) into your website content easier and faster than images. Warm regards, Stefan

PS: A WordPress plugin is available from http://www.stefanschulzesteinmann.com/skoffer-wordpress-plugin/
