KwiClick - Quickly Perform Searches (just a FINE firefox addon)

I love simple tools that make my Internet life easier & enjoyable. KwiClick is one of them.
It's a Firefox addon that provides immediate results from popular websites including Google, YouTube, FriendFeed, Google Maps, Flickr, Wikipedia, Amazon, Technorati, and delicious.
You can use KwiClick like in any other regular search engine, or (and this is the best part of this service), you can highlight a word or phrase on any webpage, click the right mouse button, and choose KwiClick. The results will show up in a clean window at the right bottom of your browser. And if you ask me, this is the smartest location choice in the browser - always get my full attention when something popup there.
For those of you who use Friendfeed, you'll be able to see yours/your friend updates without leaving the page you currently browsing at.

On YouTube, a new set of icons appears on top of a video to retrieve additional information about each movie.

This is still an experimental plugin, but it's definitely got my high vote.

Hi Orli,
Thanks for the great review. We just put KwiClick up on the Firefox addon page literally a day ago.
I also wanted to point out that KwiClick integrates with FireGestures which allow you to open KwiClick using a mouse gesture. It creates a seamless way of highlighting words on a page, perform a mouse gesture, and seeing the results inside KwiClick.
You can also move the KwiClick panel around the screen, resize it, and dock it to any side of the screen.
If you have any questions or would like to learn more about KwiClick, feel free to drop me a line.
Best,

you should try Opera browser, this 'service' is built in and actually much better. Not to mention that you can actually create customized search virtually from any site where there's a search field. For example, I can create a search from the search box of your website and each time i highlight a word in a webpage, i can select to use your search and it opens in a popup.
there's also hyperwords plugin that's been around for 2 years if you really want to stick to Firefox.
but if you want an advice, try Opera, you'll love it. especially the 'save sessions' feature which is an amazing exclusive.
Very handy. I would also suggest an option to display results from all services in one list.
It's useful
Check out version 2.1. Lots of great new features!!
