The Next Big Sound is a large data-base of unsigned music which are actually thousands of real demos that probably landed on the desks of record labels, but here someone might really pay attention to them.

Basically what this site do, is to connect between musician and a record label through the power of users.

To TNBS can sign-up two types of users: First, the Artists that allowed to create an account and upload their music & biography to the site. Second are the common users (called Moguls), that by listening to unsigned music and by signing artists, they expressing themselves and helping the best artists rise to the top. Signing an artist or a band means that the users think they have the potential to become a highly successful and popular artist. Surely it doesn't mean that you are offering them a multi-million dollar record contract, but you, as a user, can make a difference.

This site actually reminds me of Myspace in their first method. When lots of artist signed up to the site because of the fact that talent scouts were searching on the site for the next big sound...

I already find me a new favorite artist. The name is John Kappas and he's doing some very nice music. I might sing him up!
