An Excellent Facebook & Twitter Desktop Client (Windows Users Only)

Sobees just released a new desktop client called bDule where they integrated Facebook Open Stream API, Twitter and Twitter search all in one place. bDule is based on .NET and is installable on any Windows 7 computer as well as Vista and XP if .NET is up-to-date.

After downloading, you'll be asked to choose a template from a variety of options, then you can track your Facebook stream in real-time with some filters, likes and comments (update the status, likes and comments within the application). bDule also enables Twitter multi-accounts view, groups, single or multi-column view, and Twitter search topics setup.

Since I already had .Net installed in my computer, it was a real fast download for me, and at first glance I can say it looks amazing, has good usability and works smoothly and fast. But the important bottom-line is that you get to see all the activities & stuff you care about from a single view.

My only problem is the resources it takes from my computer memory.. (too high)

WPF always scared me.
I Don't agree with 1 platform dedicated solution.
No reason for so many memory to be consumed...

my Tweetdeck takes 111,404K so it looks better than any Adobe Air solution in terms of Memory consumption

I agree with Zohar..
TweetDeck takes more than bDule so it's better than TD for now.
But I'm looking to set alarm for new tweets or replies or direct messages..
with alarms it would be the best client.
Thanks Orli

not sure how I feel about yet another solution that's trying to be the "one ring that rules them all" since there are already two great solutions - TweetDeck which has strong following and Seesmic Desktop which is new but catching up to TweetDeck in huge strides ... I question the business decision to enter a market at what seems to be a late-ish juncture. Don't question whether the tech is good, but as we all know that's not necessarily the key factor (though in this case TweetDeck and Seesmic Desktop are, in my opinion, strong technology platforms).

Just my .02 fwiw ...which is just about .02 :)

I have to admit: I simply liked the different layouts (templates). The fact that I can see the clear separating between my own stream, and the stuff that I monitor & track through the search section, captured me.

Both TweetDeck and Seesmic looks the same and pretty confusing at first glance since all columns are in the same shape and size.

bDule is more user friendly.

Yup! Just loaded Tweetdeck and it's already taking up 93MB of RAM. 10MB less sounds just fine for me. And I used to think .NET apps were unnecessarily bloated!

I'm going to have to take my words back. It's now using 230MB!!!!! Oh the humanity!

I've got AlertThingy running, and it's using 78,000.

There doesn't seem to be such a thing as a low-profile twitter/facebook client, unfortunately.
