Yael brings a fair point. The thing is, why do companies keep ignoring the conversation on the web? We're a market share, like everything else. The information about what we like and what we don't is mostly unavailable to them either, and our feedback as (potential) customers is still too widespread across the tubes for them to make money out of it. It's in their own interest, in my opinion, to use a real-time aggregator that serves both uses at the same time: provide centralized statistics and readable real-time feedback to the brand on the one hand, and serve as a clean overview for the public on the other hand.

With that said, brands that attract a lot of online "bashing" and "name-calling" could still use a dedicated aggregator blog such as Twazzup, even if a private one, to help them understand why they are in this situation, and to help focus on improving their publicity.

Twazzup's solution is really cool. However, I think it will only be used by brands that are either very strong or very confident. Many companies (at least here in Israel) still ignore the conversation on the web and I can hear them responding to such a solution by - what if someone writes something bad about us, we're going to put in on our site? - naturally, they have a point but at the end of the day, the bad things will be published with or without the brand's help. So why not focus on addressing it instead of ignoring it?
