View, Edit, and Share Photos - All from a Single Place

TwinsVisions is a full management to help you view, edit, and share your images right from your desktop. Once you've installed the software, you'll be able to navigate through your photos in a 3D environment, view one folder or more. You can also perform cross folder actions such as moving photos from one folder to another, comparing two folders, or simply viewing photos from several folders at the same time.

Any picture displayed on Visions, can be easily edited. The image editor enables you to repair defects, apply impressive effects, adjust photo characteristics, crop, resize, add tags etc,. then save it on your computer.

The sharing part is the coolest. Visions connecting you with your Flickr account (through their API), and enabling you to manage your Flickr albums from your desktop. Meaning: upload new photos, modify existing photo details (tags, notes, comments), view other people's photos, download photos directly to your computer, and of course share any photo you want with friends. All of these without even visiting your web account.

I'm not quite sure, but based on the contact names, I'm guessing it's an Israeli-based service. (which always makes me happy)
Update: Confirmed as true.

Free download here: please note that the software still has some stability issues.

Facebook : Create Profile Photo in a Snap

If you wish to create/change your Facebook profile photo, you can now do it with any photo that you're tagged in. To make it easier, Facebook added a photo-cropping interface that lets you select the portion of the photo you are in, and after cropping, it is scaled perfectly to be the size of a profile picture.

Here's a short demo that demonstrates how-to do it:

It's Fun to be Funky

BeFunky is a very cool application that allows you to easily turn your picture into lovely cartoon, avatar and video! I've found about Befunky, after my friend Frank Gruber wrote about them in his blog (and was kind enough to get me an invitation so I tested it myself).

I found the "Cartoonizer" to be the most fun feature offered by BeFunky. With "Cartoonizer", a user can recreate images/videos by turning them into digital paintings, cartoons and comics in just a few seconds without the need to download a tool. Also, you can save all your creations in your own BeFunky gallery and other users can rate, comment and grab the code for their personal use.

Unfortunately the video tool is not yet launched on the site but it's appeared to be similar to the pop-art look of rotoscoping used in the trailer below , so you can see it is definitely something worth waiting for!

Bottom line, I've enjoyed the site A LOT and have been using it to annoy some of my friends with awesome cartoons pictures.

New Intuitive Visual Search

oSkope
is a Germany based visual search service. It is a search assistant with a highly intuitive visual interface. oSkope lets you browse quickly through a large number of images and preview information with minimal paging. Selected items can be saved by registered users only. In its beta version, oSkope allows to search for products and images on popular web services like Amazon, eBay, YouTube or Flickr. More services will be added soon.

To start with the service, select your category, then you'll be able to run a free search by keyword. While searching, corresponding images appear as thumbnails in the display area at the center of the screen. Thumbnail images can be dragged & dropped to rearrange your favorite items. Click on one of the images to display additional information about an item and then click on "Link to original page" button to access the original webpage where the item or product is displayed.

Also you can switch between display modes, or "views". Currently the following views are offered: grid, stack, pile, graph and list: (like at the screen below)

Flickr clone(?) with some Stronger Features!

Ipernity is like the new improved Flickr!
Beside the fact that you can do all the activities like at Flickr: uploading photos, add to favorites, add notes, view all sizes, embed photos to your blog/site, make comments, add tags, etc,.. you can also add videos, music files and make your music play-list in just a few clicks. Moreover, you can do some blogging in Ipernity as well.

What can I say.. this platform rock! For my opinion it's based on Flickr idea but on the other hand it have it's own original style because of the video (that flickr miss), music and blogging additions. So what you get in the and is your own place with everything that you've added in a very organized page and you are enable to share it with anyone you want via URL that you get from Ipernity.

With Ipernity you can:
  • Publish whatever you like : blog, photos, videos, audios
  • Customize your own Ipernity page (like at Myspace)
  • Share what you want with people who matter to you or with the whole world
  • Create a powerful page with only the stuff that matters to you.

Ipernity have multiple languages.

Wiredness - Online Photo Editor that ROCK!

I really love services like Wiredness that makes it so easy to use online without even the registration hassle. Wiredness is an image manipulation application. Upload a photo or grab from any URL, to resize, change exposure, fix red-eye, rotate, colorize, change brightness and contrast, and much more.

Wiredness also allow the integration with your flickr photos

The Wiredness system includes a simple API which allows other web applications to pass through the information for an image. This will allow the user to modify that image using the Wiredness system and then save that image back to the calling web application. They can also chose to cancel the modification at any time and it will return them to your site with the original unmodified image.

Hosting images on the web was never that easy!

As I've said, I love services like Wiredness! I find it very impressive and easy to use. It is just a good web based tool that anyone can use.

Click here if you want to give this service a try.
